Registered Nurse (OR) - Savannah, Georgia

Position Overview

  • Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
  • Location: Savannah, GA
  • Shift: Days
  • Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Contract Length: 14 weeks
  • Orientation: Weekly, Monday starts only (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday)
  • Average Cases per Day: 70-80
  • Number of OR Suites: 19
  • EMR System: Meditech
  • Work Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts

Required Qualifications

  • Active Georgia RN license
  • Minimum 2 years OR RN experience in a similar-sized hospital
  • At least one previous travel assignment required
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • Meditech experience highly preferred
  • Experience with general OR cases including GU, GYN, urology, dental, eyes, ENT, plastics, and robotic (Da Vinci) surgeries
  • Pediatric OR experience preferred
  • Must provide a current NURSYS report with no license issues
  • Scrubbing experience highly preferred but not required

Additional Requirements & Notes

  • Strict 100-mile radius rule: Candidates must live at least 101 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
  • Scrubs are NOT provided; required colors are ceil blue or navy blue
  • Smoke-free campus; faith-based hospital environment
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to work are important
  • Charge nurse/house supervisor coverage during day and evening shifts; OR techs assist with patient positioning and room turnover

Submission Requirements

  • Full availability including all requested time off (RTO)
  • Start date aligned with compliance timelines
  • Current references within the same specialty/modality
  • Resume must include:
    • Number of beds and trauma level of all facilities worked in the past 3 years
    • Employment type (permanent/staff, travel, or PRN)
    • Number of shifts worked per month if PRN

Orientation & Onboarding

  • Onboarding must be completed at least 7 calendar days prior to the start date
