Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Lynchburg, Virginia
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–7:15
• 13-week contract
• General expectation is 2–3 weekends per month based on unit needs
• 60-mile radius rule
• First-time travelers accepted
• Biweekly orientation on Mondays
• Call is based on unit needs
• Travelers are first to float
• Scrubs are not provided
• Nicotine-free campus

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Neuro ICU experience within the last year
• 2 years of Neuro ICU experience
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Minimum 2 manager/charge references within the past 2 years
• Specialty-specific skills checklist
• Candidate profile/work history
• Will consider candidates with pending certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro experience

Additional Requirements

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID
• Background check within 30 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required prior to start
• HHS/OIG required prior to start
• Competency exam
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Ishihara color blind testing
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire
• Rubeola, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
• Flu vaccination/documentation during flu season
• Centra Health onboarding form
• Deemed consent for blood draw
