Registered Nurse (ED) - Night Shift

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients in the Emergency Department (ED) using nursing processes and current best practices.
Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and modify plans based on ongoing evaluation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
Support professional development of peers through constructive feedback.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois.
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience.
Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Experience with trauma level 2 patients.
EPIC electronic health record experience.
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.

Additional Information

This position requires working night shifts in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
Emphasis on patient and staff safety, effective communication, and continuous professional development.
