Registered Nurse (ED) - Night Shift

Location

  • Clinical Nursing
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

  • Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients in the Emergency Department (ED) using nursing processes and current best practices.
  • Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and modify plans based on ongoing evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
  • Support professional development of peers through constructive feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Illinois.
  • Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience.
  • Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience with trauma level 2 patients.
  • EPIC electronic health record experience.
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.

  • This position requires working night shifts in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
  • Emphasis on patient and staff safety, effective communication, and continuous professional development.
