Operating Room Registered Nurse

Overview

Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment type: Clinical nursing
Shift: Day
Hours: 36 per week
Shift schedule: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Call requirement: 30 hours of call per 6 weeks
Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 10 weeks
Contract length: 14 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
Experience in an acute care setting
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic

Job Responsibilities

Performs assessments and reassessments
Develops, implements, and revises the plan of care
Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services
Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions
Provides and coordinates patient and family education
Delegates tasks and serves as a mentor/preceptor
Supports teamwork, quality improvement, safety, service improvement, and regulatory compliance
