CT Tech Position - Colorado, Golden

Job Summary

• Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
• Use independent judgment and initiative to produce high-quality scans.
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Prepare patients for exams, verify orders, and ensure proper patient identification.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Administer contrast media under physician or radiologist supervision and educate patients on safety.
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and any incidents.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, consents, quality control, and report equipment issues.
• Stay current with CT technology and assist in training students and other technologists.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of CT technologist experience within the last year.
• Associate's degree required.
• ARRT certification: ARRT(R)(CT), ARRT(CT), or ARRT(R) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated competency in patient positioning for CT procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluoroscopy certification (required for Colorado hires).
• Experience in a hospital setting.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Wednesday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM (12-hour shifts).
• Total hours per week: 36.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks.
