Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour day shifts
• Rotating call up to 7 days per 4-week schedule
• Mandatory call/standby required
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Cardiac Cath Lab (1 year of experience)
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• Pre/Post Cath Lab experience

Unit Details

• Cath Lab with 2 suites/labs
• Average of 5–10 cases per day
• Common procedures include diagnostic left and right heart caths, PCI, IABP, Impella, temporary pacemaker, TCAR, EVAR, EKOS, AIF, IVC filters, Infusaports, Permacaths, and venograms

Responsibilities

• Circulate, sedate, and complete documentation
• Cath pre/post recovery care

• Surgical attire provided
• Lead not provided
• No floating required
• Siemens software and equipment used
• Orientation includes general hospital orientation, nursing orientation, computer training, and up to 36 hours in the department
