Registered Nurse (ER) – Travel Assignment

Location: Show Low, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evenings
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week (3 shifts per week)

Job Overview

• Work in a regional hospital emergency department with 30 private ER rooms, including a 6-room Emergency Department Observation Unit (EDOU).
• Facility is a Level IV Trauma Center.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:3 or 1:4.
• Average patient volume is approximately 100 patients per day.
• Support staff includes 5 techs during peak hours.
• Patient cases include trauma, cardiac, neurological, and a variety of emergency conditions.
• Fast track area with 6 beds managed by a Physician Assistant for minor, non-urgent cases.
• Additional rooms include 1 seclusion room and 5 monitored rooms.
• Electronic Medical Record system: Allscripts - Sunrise.
• Medication dispensing system: Omnicell.
• Scrub color policy: any color except all black.
• Scrubs are not provided.
• 12-hour midnight shifts available.

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license or compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • PALS (American Heart Association)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
