Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on Med/Surg Telemetry unit with potential to float to related units including Emergency Department.
- Work 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (either day or night shifts).
- Shifts rotate between 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; shift rotation may be required to meet operational needs.
- Must work at least every other holiday.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 1.5 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Orientation and Onboarding
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start; must be done on a computer using Google Chrome.
- Modules include mandatory training videos and tests; skipping videos will result in lockout.
- Photo for badge required.
- Baseline competency exams (medication and ECG) completed at orientation.
- Must complete all onboarding requirements before clearance to start.
Additional Notes
- Candidates may start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start.
- Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID while on assignment.
- Must comply with facility policies regarding holiday work and shift rotations.
- Facility uses electronic systems for submitting hours worked and tracking compliance.
