Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Odessa, Texas
Shift: Day shift, 8 AM to 5 PM (40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Start Date: June 28th


Job Description

  • Provide physical therapy services in a rehabilitation setting.
  • No weekend shifts required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing) required.
  • Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and solve problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Basic computer and word processing skills needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas.
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, sex offender registry, and nationwide checks.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated with each contract renewal.
  • Proof of E-Verify or attestation.
  • Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually.
  • Immunization or titer proof for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.
  • 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months.
  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
  • Completed employment application/resume.
  • Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units.
  • Performance evaluations if employed over 1 year; internal evaluations if over 2 years.

Additional Notes

  • Must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service.
  • Must meet or exceed required competency exams as applicable.
  • Orientation and compliance documents must be completed prior to start date.
