Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Requires 2 years recent experience in Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Tech roles.
• Experience with Stroke, Neuro Intervention, Cerebral Thrombectomies, Embolizations, and Trauma is required.
• Must have experience using Epic electronic health record system.

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
• Total 40 hours per week

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT Radiographer Certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• Florida clinical license appropriate for Radiology/Cardiology specialty (must be valid and not expiring within 30 days of start)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Experience as an Electrophysiology Technician
• ARRT certification
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience using the Epic electronic health record system

• Facility-specific Clinical/Online Orientation Module (valid for 1 year)
• Annual Risk Management Course Module
• General Compliance & Ethics Training Module
• Code of Conduct Module
• Comprehensive Emergency Management Education Module
• Preventing & Reporting Workplace Harassment Module
• Stroke and Stroke Core Measures Review Module (required for nursing and IR techs)
• Additional nursing-specific modules if applicable (e.g., IV Medication Safety, Recognizing Impairment, PPE Donning/Doffing for COVID-19)

Additional Requirements

• Badge photo: passport-style, color photo on solid white background, no hats or sunglasses, good lighting, no filters or Photoshop.
• Must comply with all facility-specific data security and privacy policies.
• Local candidates considered within a 60-mile radius.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Candidates must have all certifications and licenses valid and not expiring within 30 days of start date.
• Background checks must be current within 6 months and include all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years.
• Fingerprinting clearance must be completed and on file prior to start; results must be dated within 30 days of start.

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab and EP Tech professionals with strong clinical skills in neuro and trauma interventions, who are comfortable working day shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.
