Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (3x12s)
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Shifts may be rotated as needed to meet operational needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Current certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation and Competency Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Passing baseline competency exams at orientation:

  • Medication administration exam (SafeMedicate) with 90% passing score
  • ECG interpretation exam with 80% passing score
• Completion of background checks including:

  • FCRA-compliant 7-year search
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing, results required within 12 months and updated annually
• Education verification and primary source license verification within 30 days of start
• Skills checklist required annually

Additional Notes

• Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID during assignment
• Candidates may start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Candidates with gaps longer than 30 days between assignments may need to repeat some health screenings and orientation requirements
• Modules and onboarding must be completed prior to clearance to start
• Facility reserves the right to rotate shifts to meet operational needs, but will try to honor preferred shifts
• Traveler must be prepared to work holidays as scheduled

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs licensed in Ohio or a compact state, who are comfortable with rotating 12-hour shifts and meeting comprehensive health, certification, and competency requirements.
