CT Scan Technologist

Overview

Contract length: 15 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
CT Technologist experience within the last year
1 year of CT Technologist experience
High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from a Radiologic Technologist program

Preferred Experience

6 months of CT experience

Key Responsibilities

Perform complex CT procedures
Review patient history and contrast questionnaires
Administer contrast media as prescribed
Verify exam appropriateness and clarify prescriptions when needed
Obtain outside studies and coordinate exam availability for comparison
Evaluate radiographs for proper identification and diagnostic value
Prepare patients for scanning and provide instructions
Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures
Monitor patients for adverse reactions during procedures
Work scheduled shifts, including holidays, weekends, overtime, and on-call assignments
Lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, and stand for at least 6 hours per day
