- No weekends, evenings, or call
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB, or registered as a Technologist (RT) and certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by ARRT
- Maine State Radiologic Technologist license for Nuclear Medicine
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
Role Summary
- Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapy
- Reviews patient history and physician orders
- Educates patients about procedures, equipment, and exams
- Orders, prepares, administers, stores, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals and/or medications according to protocols and regulations
- Monitors patient condition and responds to changes in status
- Prepares equipment and supplies, selects exposure factors and imaging parameters, and performs quality control
- Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions
- Positions patients, performs imaging procedures, analyzes image quality, and repeats procedures when needed
- Enters, transmits, and reports scan results
