Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care, including patient assessment, administration of IV medications/therapy/blood, patient education, and documentation of nursing care and patient responses. The Emergency Center includes a full spectrum of emergency care and a separate Chest Pain Center.

Requirements

Must not be a previous employee of the facility
Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius
Minimum 1 year of previous nursing experience required
At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
No licensure or background issues (candidates with hits will not be considered)

Additional Information

Up to 16 hours of orientation (unpaid)
Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract
Local travelers receive a lower local rate (not applicable for remote candidates)

The nurses at St Mary’s are wonderful! Very travel friendly! Very busy ER for a small community! Lots of psych but they manage it well at this facility.
