Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
  • Occupational Therapist (1 year of experience)
  • Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
  • Experience in a(n) Long Term Care setting

Role Overview

  • Screens and evaluates patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders
  • Develops and adjusts treatment plans based on patient progress
  • Provides skilled rehabilitation treatment, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and supportive or assistive devices
  • Documents treatment and discharge information in the electronic documentation system
  • Communicates patient progress and treatment plans with the care team
  • Participates in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
  • May supervise occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
