Overview

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Role details

PICU
Patient population includes adolescents, infants, and peds
Unit coverage includes PICU, Pediatric Stepdown, and pediatrics, including intermediate care and med/surg mix
Ratio: PICU 1:1–2
Must float within skillset to PICU, NICU, Peds, Stepdown, and Intermediate units
May also float to PHOC (Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic)

Required qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2.5 years of experience)
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Experience with ventilator management
Experience with CVVH
Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
Experience with Epic
Must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays as needed

Scheduling

Every other weekend
First-time travelers are accepted
Locals are accepted at the same rate
