CT Tech Position - Colorado, Lafayette

Job Summary

Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Utilize independent judgment and initiative to produce high-quality scans.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Verify patient identity and orders; prepare patients for exams.
• Perform exams according to department protocols.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within department time expectations without compromising care or quality.
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers post-procedure.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and any adverse events.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, consents, quality control, and report equipment issues.
• Administer contrast media under physician supervision and educate patients on safety.
• Stay current with CT technology and protocols through continuing education.
• Assist and instruct students and other technologists in protocols and equipment use.

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (R) and ARRT (R)(CT) certifications.
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate's degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT technologist experience within the last year.

Shift

• 12-hour day shifts.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks.
