Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT(CT) certification and at least 1 year of CT experience for a 13-week contract in Lafayette, CO.
Details
- Hospital-based CT department in Lafayette, CO
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week for 36 hours per week
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting required
- Associate's degree required
- ARRT(R) required; ARRT(CT) strongly preferred
- BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to start date
- Active state license required (license required if applicable)
- Fluoroscopy certification required for candidates practicing in Colorado
- Radiation badge required; candidates with their own badge preferred
- Proficiency with CT equipment, imaging protocols, and contrast injector operation
- Experience with electronic imaging including viewing, transferring, and manipulating images
- Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and related safety considerations
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic and imaging purposes
- Responsibilities include patient identification and order verification, exam preparation, protocol-based scanning, and image quality review
- Administers contrast media per protocol under radiologist or physician supervision, including patient education on contrast safety
- Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and infection control standards
- Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions
- Coordinates and communicates pertinent post-procedure information to other care team members
- Participates in continuing education and assists in training students and other radiology technologists
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
