• 4 x 10-hour shifts per week

Contract Length

• 12 weeks

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience
• Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
• High school diploma or GED
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Breast Specialty (RDMS-BR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• ARDMS registration with successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction
• Verify patient identity and orders, prepare patients for exams, and provide patient education
• Follow department protocols for exams, image review, documentation, coding, charging, consents, quality control, and reporting equipment issues
• Perform vascular procedures and apply imaging techniques
• Maintain infection control, sterile technique, and cleaning standards
• Operate equipment and related information systems
• Support students and other radiology technologists with protocols, positioning, and equipment
• Respond to emergency situations and work independently or as part of a team

• Ability to see and read information and labels
• Ability to communicate clearly and quickly, including during emergencies
• Manual dexterity for precise equipment handling
• Ability to use computers and type for documentation
• Ability to lift, bend, carry, walk, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to navigate crowded and busy environments
