Oncology RN

Location

Newark, New Jersey

Assignment Details

Travel/contract role
13 weeks
37.5 hours per week
Day shift: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Specialty Focus

Adult medical oncology, including GI, GU, breast, head and neck, neuro, thoracic, lymphoma, and leukemia
GYN oncology
Classic hematology, including sickle cell, anemia, factor 8, and ITP
Bone marrow biopsy in clinic
GYN oncology procedures including paps, biopsy, colposcopy, and pelvic exams

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in New Jersey
Oncology (1 year of experience)
Oncology experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ONS/ONCC
IV Certification
Experience with Epic

Key Clinical Skills

Accessing ports
Central line blood draws
Neupogen administration
Hormonal therapy
Colostomy care

Additional Requirements

Government-issued photo ID

Drug screen
Respiratory medical clearance and fit testing
Physical exam
TB screening
Immunization/documentation review
