Overview

• Patient population: Infants to geriatrics, primarily adult RRT with some pediatric intubated patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia
• Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

• Pulmonary function testing (spirometry testing)

Work Setting

• Level 2 trauma center
• Interventional stroke certified
• Level 3 NICU
• NICU serves as the regional transport resource

Key Responsibilities

• Manage non-invasive ventilation and conventional ventilation
• Provide aerosol therapy and oxygen management
• Perform bedside pulmonary function tests
• Perform arterial lines and arterial blood gases
• Perform capillary blood gases and draw from lines
• Provide patient education

Schedule Notes

• Every other weekend
• Floating required within the facility and to a sister campus as needed
• No call required
• RTO maximum: 7 days
• Must work assigned major holidays based on the number that fall during the assignment

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Locals are accepted
• Full compliance is required to start on time
• Slate gray scrubs required
