Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location: Utica, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Work on Med Surg 8th Floor with patient populations including:
- 8 East: Oncology, Hematology, Endocrinology
- 8 West: ENT, Dermatology, Gastrointestinal General
Patient ratios:
- Med/Surg days: 1:5-6
- Med/Surg nights: 1:6-7
Epic electronic health record system experience required
Return to Office (RTO) approximately 7 days
Local radius for commute: 75 miles
COVID-19 vaccine not required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
Minimum 1.5 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (New York state requirement)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
