Registered Nurse - MICU (Kentucky, Lexington)

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 19:00 - 7:30)
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Description

Level One Trauma experience required.
Minimum 2 years ICU/Telemetry experience with medical, surgical trauma, and critical patients.
Experience in a teaching hospital setting required.
Must work a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per schedule period.
Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted.
For the first 2 weeks, only single days off can be requested; longer time off requests allowed afterward.
Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at offer time; no holiday RTO accepted.
Must be able to work full schedule without conflicts or multiple concurrent contracts.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), with at least some experience within the last year
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Telemetry experience
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
