Shift Details

• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Weekend requirement: Minimum 3 weekends in a 6-week period
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5

Job Expectations

• Call-in policy: If a shift is called in, the nurse must pick up another shift to compensate
• Possibility of being placed on call
• Floating between units/hospital as needed
• No more than 5 days of Requested Time Off (RTO) allowed during assignment

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification

Additional Preferences

• Ambulatory experience preferred
• Med/Surg experience preferred

• Short Term Acute Care facility
• 78 staffed beds
• Charting system: Meditech
• Professional appearance required; scrub color is flexible

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check including SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and international criminal checks (if applicable), updated annually
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Transcript/Diploma verification required
• Physical exam within 12 months, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (3M 1860R or 1860S masks accepted; no PAPRs)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, renewed annually
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Tdap (within 10 years), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Two professional references required
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams (including medication/pharmacology and color blindness testing)

• Professionalism and flexibility with floating and on-call duties are essential
