12-hour shifts
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oklahoma
Neurology (1 year of experience)
Neurology experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Stroke experience
NIHSS
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a Board Approved Program

Role Overview

Provides nursing care in a hospital setting for patients with a range of health problems
Assigned to a group of patients and responsible for documenting responses to interventions and treatments
Assists with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatment
Monitors patient data and physiological changes, administers medication, and manages IV infusions and blood products
Communicates care plans and discharge information with patients and families
May precept and work in a virtual room
Unit includes stroke, neuro, ortho, and spine patients
Ratios: 3:1 for step-down patients and 5:1 for other patients
