Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on Med/Surg Telemetry unit with potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and Emergency Department caring for the same patient population.
• Work 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts (day or night) with rotating shifts possible to meet operational needs.
• Shifts:

  • Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Must work at least every other holiday.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
• Current certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Orientation & Training

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome).
• Orientation includes baseline competency exams for medication administration and ECG interpretation.
• SafeMedicate prep materials provided before orientation.
• Must complete all onboarding modules and be cleared before starting assignment.

Additional Requirements

• Employment application with at least 3 years prior work history, including 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area.
• Annual skills checklist required.
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; facility will also conduct fingerprinting onsite.
• Candidates may start with fingerprint results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start.
• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID at all times during assignment.
• Must comply with facility policies regarding latex allergy notification.

Work Environment

• Facility reserves the right to rotate shifts if necessary.
• Use of Qualivis – Lotus system for submitting hours worked.

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs who meet the licensing, certification, and health requirements and are comfortable with rotating 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.
