Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ER (Night Shift)

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

Night shift options:
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Alternating 36/48 hour schedule
Facility schedules 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee

Required Experience

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience preferred
No first-time travelers accepted
Candidates with 2 years of experience may be considered if experience is in a high volume or trauma facility

Required Certifications & Licenses

Current Registered Nurse license valid in Texas
BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only (Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only (Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or ARC only (Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Required as applicable
NIH Stroke Certification - Required as applicable
Other certifications such as NRP, CHEMO, EFM, ENPC may be required as applicable

Required Background & Compliance

Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
Background check within 1 year of start, including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide, and sex offender registry
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start
E-Verify or attestation required

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (2-step PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot acceptable)
Required vaccinations or positive titers (or approved exemptions) for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine (required between October 1 and May 31; medical/religious exemptions subject to review)
COVID-19 vaccination documentation required
Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant acceptable), plan for completion within 72 hours of contract signing

Additional Requirements

2 professional references within 3 years of start
Resume or employment application required
Annual updates for skills checklist and orientation safety manual acknowledgment
Completion of facility-specific documents prior to start, including parking policy acknowledgment and orientation materials

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum of 1 year Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
PALS certification
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Notes

Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
Facility-specific exemptions for flu vaccine available but require submission and approval
Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests required as applicable by profession
