Operating Room RN Travel Contract
Overview

- Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Hours per week: 40
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience with cardiac cases
- Experience with liver transplant cases
- Experience with craniotomies
- Experience with spinal cases
Preferred
- Trauma Level 1 course and certificate
- Experience with orthopedic fractures
Work Expectations
- Floating required between multiple Jefferson locations and services within the main OR
- No on-call requirement
- No holiday requirement
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Pros
Some of the nurses in the MICU are some of the best people I have ever met. Very high acuity patients but I learned a lot. Amazing teamwork and camaraderie
Cons
The facility is literally falling apart and staffing is terrible sometimes. Management is not as great and supportive as it used to be. Patient population can be difficult to work with (lots of ETOH, withdrawal, ODs, etc)
