Medical Surgical RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 26 weeks
Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
Weekly hours: 36 or 48 hours may be considered
Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a rate differential
Holiday time off requests are not accepted, though dates may be discussed with the manager
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
May float to other Med/Surg units, ICU units, and ED waiting rooms
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS

Unit Details

Medical-surgical unit caring for patients with neurological disorders, spinal surgery patients, and some step-down/telemetry patients
40-bed unit
Equipment used includes EPIC and Pyxis
