Position Details

- Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Caseload: Typically 8-10 exams per shift

- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs; may float to sister facilities as needed
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years
- Specialty Experience: Perinatal/MFM and GYN Ultrasound experience required
- Skills: Detailed anatomical survey per AIUM guidelines
- Common Scans:
- Fetal Dopplers (Umbilical, Middle Cerebral Artery, Ductus Venosus, etc.)
- Biophysical Profile
- Fetal Biometry
- First Trimester Assessment
- Nuchal Translucency
- Transvaginal Cervical Length
- Transvaginal GYN
- First-timers: Accepted
Licensure & Certifications
- License: SC State ultrasound licensure is not required
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARDMS certification in OB/GYN
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Radiation Badge: Not required for Ultrasound Techs

Important Notes
- Block Schedule: May be accommodated with prior approval (not guaranteed)
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; no call outs allowed
- Hurricane Season: Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November), especially August and September
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of work eligibility (I-9, Social Security Card)
- Background checks including 7 years of history and various federal/state registries
- Education verification or diploma/transcripts as placeholder
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
- Physical exam and fit mask test (N95) within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers: Tdap, TB test or chest X-ray, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
- COVID-19 vaccination preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
- Flu vaccination required during flu season or medical/religious exemption accepted
- Clinical references and employment verification required
- Facility-specific orientation modules and safety attestations must be completed prior to start
Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for an experienced Women’s Health Ultrasound Tech specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Gynecology ultrasound. The position offers a stable weekday schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call duties. Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant ultrasound experience and hold ARDMS certification in OB/GYN along with BLS certification. South Carolina ultrasound licensure is not required. The role is based in an outpatient clinic setting with Epic charting and free parking. Compliance with extensive background checks, immunizations, and facility-specific requirements is mandatory.
