Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Travel)

Location: Webster, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit has 4 rooms and 10 staff members
Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 Endoscopy Technicians
Night Shift: On-call staff includes 1 RN and 1 Tech
Patient Ratios: 1:1 for procedures, 1:2 in PACU
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy experience, including experience within the last year
Endoscopy experience in both GI and Pulmonology specialties
Solid PACU experience (required if no Endoscopy experience)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification

Preferred Skills

PACU experience is preferred

Typical Procedures

EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
Colonoscopy
ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
Bronchoscopy
Ion Robot Bronchoscopy
EGD with Ultrasound

Work Environment & Expectations

Floating areas include PACU and Preoperative units
On-call requirement: 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend per month
Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
Personality fit: Outgoing and team-oriented
