Description
Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide coverage across multiple urgent care locations in the Richmond, Virginia area.
This is a locum tenens opportunity with potential for permanent placement. Providers will care for patients of all ages in a high-volume outpatient urgent care setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat urgent care patients from pediatrics through geriatrics
- Perform laceration repairs and wound management
- Incision and drainage (I&D)
- Foreign body removal
- Minor burn treatment
- Splinting and casting
- Joint reductions
- X-ray interpretation
- EKG interpretation
- Point-of-care lab review
- Epistaxis management
- Cerumen removal
- Emergency stabilization and airway support as needed
Practice Details
- 100% outpatient
- Patient census: approximately 25 to 50 patients daily
- EMR: Epic
- No call responsibilities
- Multiple sites throughout Richmond area
Requirements
✅ Board Certified NP or PA
✅ Active Virginia License
✅ Active DEA
✅ Active BLS Certification
✅ Minimum 1 year experience in:
- Emergency Medicine
- Urgent Care
- Primary Care
✅ Clean malpractice history
✅ No license issues or disciplinary actions
✅ Local candidates strongly preferred
✅ Client will not reimburse travel, lodging, or transportation expenses
