Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in the Telemetry unit
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule (3x12, 18:45-07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float required within scope to 2 South, MS Tele, 3 South, 1C, and to Shiloh Memorial Hospital and other Memorial Hospital units
• EPIC charting system used

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience required
• Experience with STEMI/NSTEMI care and CHF management required
• Pre and post cardiac catheterization care experience required
• Cardiac drip management required, titration skills preferred
• Experience assisting with bedside procedures including line insertion and thoracentesis
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required
• EPIC charting experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and medication administration
• Magnet-designated facility with 222 staffed beds
• Navy scrub color required
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed within a 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler to any BJC facility
• Travelers may stay up to 18 months with a required 3-month break in service after that period
