Cardiac Cath Lab RN needed for long term contract 6 months to 1 year.
Assist in the delivery of patient care during cardiac catheterization procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and response to procedures, intervening as necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologic technologists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
Operate specialized equipment and assist with the insertion and manipulation of catheters.
Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
Requirements:
• Current and Clear New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or cardiac nursing preferred.
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to emergent situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in patient care.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screening as set by the VA Hospital standards, including comprehensive criminal background check, drug screening and fingerprinting.
