Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Float position requiring PCU and SDU experience and float capability to medical/surgical floors.

Details

• Stepdown float pool role, floating to medical/surgical units as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:3 to 5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every second weekend rotation required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN state or compact) required
• Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• 2 years of recent RN experience required
• PCU and SDU experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care for cardiac, telemetry, neurological, respiratory, and post-surgical patient populations
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response situations preferred
• Familiarity with ventilator-dependent care, tracheostomy management, and wound care preferred
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
• Pending state licenses are not accepted for this position
