Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery department requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and at least one year in an acute operating room setting.

Details

• Adult Surgery unit within a Level 1 Trauma hospital environment
• Operating room setting providing circulator duties for surgical and invasive procedures
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours total
• On-call responsibilities include one Sunday per month

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room environment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and professional nursing theory and practice
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
• Responsible for direct and indirect nursing care within the perioperative environment
• Documents and evaluates all components of patient care using the nursing process
• Individualizes care based on patient health status, age, and procedure type
• Works collaboratively as part of a surgical care team
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no allowance for start date delays
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
