Contract Length
4 weeks
Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts
- Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications
- 3 years of OR experience
- Prior travel experience required
- General Surgery experience
- Orthopedic experience with total joints
- Robotics experience
Preferred Experience
- GI experience
Work Setting
- 6 OR suites and 2 GI suites
- Average of 12 cases per day
- Common cases include total joints, ORIFs, tendon repairs, hernia, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, robotic bowel resection, endoscopic sinus surgery, tonsil and adenoids pediatric cases, cataracts, and blepharoplasty
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Scrubbing is preferred but not required
- Charge nurse role is mostly department management
- OR techs are available
- May float occasionally to ED, MS, or LTC depending on comfort level
- Call response time is 30 minutes
- Expected to work most holidays, including 2 of 3 winter holidays
- Must clock in and out at the facility
Orientation
- Up to 4 shifts, including cataracts
Additional Notes
- Gray scrubs are provided by the facility
- Candidates living within 80 miles are considered local rate
- If previously worked for the facility, there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission
