Schedule

• 8-hour day shifts
• Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Required Qualifications

• Active ACLS and BLS certifications
• 3 years of OR experience
• Prior travel experience required
• General Surgery experience
• Orthopedic experience with total joints
• Robotics experience

Preferred Experience

• GI experience

Work Setting

• 6 OR suites and 2 GI suites
• Average of 12 cases per day
• Common cases include total joints, ORIFs, tendon repairs, hernia, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, robotic bowel resection, endoscopic sinus surgery, tonsil and adenoids pediatric cases, cataracts, and blepharoplasty

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Scrubbing is preferred but not required
• Charge nurse role is mostly department management
• OR techs are available
• May float occasionally to ED, MS, or LTC depending on comfort level
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Expected to work most holidays, including 2 of 3 winter holidays
• Must clock in and out at the facility

Orientation

• Up to 4 shifts, including cataracts

Additional Notes

• Gray scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates living within 80 miles are considered local rate
• If previously worked for the facility, there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission
