The Inova Schar Cancer Institute Fair Oaks is a regional location of our main Inova Schar Cancer Institute in the Washington, DC metro area designed to bring healing and hope to every patient. The Chesapeake Clinic (5N), which is located within the newly built Inova Schar Cancer Institute, is an outpatient physician clinic whose team members work closely and expertly with our board-certified dermatologist, medical oncologist and advanced practitioners to serve patients for management of melanoma and other skin cancers including cutaneous lymphoma.
The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clinics are closed for the seven recognized Inova holidays and there are no on-call requirements. Our team members work five 8-hour shifts.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.

- Education: BSN or ADN - If ADN then complete BSN within 24 months of start date
If Associates Degree RN-Within 6 months of start date, meet with nurse leader. Identify which Accredited School the employee plans to attend. Submit a review of transcript from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses. Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association required
- RN licensed, and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others. Proficient computer skills required.
