Description
Shifts & Hours:
- Day Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts (06:30 – 19:00)
- Evening Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts (11:00 – 23:30)
- On-Call/Weekend: 6 calls per 6-week schedule; 1 weekend or holiday per 6 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not explicitly listed (typical 36–40/week)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Unit / Type:
- CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
- Adult & geriatric patient population
- Handles ~60 cases/8–10 “hearts” per day
- If no cardiac cases, may float to general surgery
Required Qualifications:
- DC RN license (pending accepted if applied, must be active before start)
- BLS & ACLS certifications
- 2 years RN experience
- 2 years CVOR or circulating experience
- Completion of 1 prior travel assignment
- Flu vaccine required (COVID not required)
- Cerner or similar EMR experience preferred
Clinical Responsibilities / Skills:
- Circulating in cardiac OR, including CABG, valve surgery, LVAD, transplants, endovascular, TEVAR/TAVR, robotic surgery (Da Vinci Si)
- Other surgical procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, liver, kidney, pancreas, lung, thyroidectomy, Whipple
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Scrub skills beneficial
RTO limits apply: ≤7 days, none in first 2 weeks
Two supervisor references required
