Job Opportunity – Perioperative Registered Nurse (PACU/Pre-Op/Post-Op) – Pennsylvania

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (either 6:00am-6:30pm for pre-op or 8:00am-8:30pm for post-op). On-call requirements include two 8-hour shifts Monday-Thursday and one 12-hour weekend shift within a 6-week schedule. One summer and one winter on-call holiday per year.

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma facility with diverse patient population including adults, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics
• Complex case mix including craniotomies, transplants (liver and kidney), trauma cases, cardiac procedures, interventional radiology, and GI procedures
• 28-bed unit with approximately 30 visits per day; 2:1 patient ratios maintained across all shifts
• Electronic charting system: Cerner Aecis Surgi Net
• 13-week contract assignment with 16 hours of orientation provided
• Scrubs provided; first-time travelers welcome

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania RN license (or multi-state compact license) required at time of submission
• Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience required
• Critical Care or PACU experience required; Level I Trauma experience and ICU background required
• SICU, MICU, and CTICU experience strongly preferred
• Current certifications required: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), PALS, ACLS, and BLS
• Experience with ventilators, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, drains, and vasoactive IV titration
• Prior charge experience and previous travel experience preferred
• Completion of PA fingerprints and childline clearance required; lab work must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
