Job Description: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment

• Floating: Required to other units based on skill set
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Call Requirement: Required
• Charting System: Epic (minimum 1 year of experience required)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience; no first-time travelers accepted

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate
• Preferred: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Beginner

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform triage assessments and manage patient admissions
• Support and monitor inductions, cesarean deliveries, and external versions
• Conduct non-stress tests (NSTs) and assist with circumcisions
• Provide newborn resuscitation and stabilization
• Administer magnesium sulfate and other critical medications
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient care

Minimum Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee
• 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex maternal and neonatal cases
