Description
Surgical Technologist- 13 week Contract
Schedule
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts
- Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call: Required
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the OR Circulating RN in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Open and prepare sterile packages and select the appropriate equipment and supplies for each procedure.
- Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to the requirements of each case.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
- Follow established safety, infection control, and patient-care standards.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team.
- Assist in improving the efficiency of surgeons and other healthcare professionals in the operating room.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Surgical Tech experience preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
- Surgical Technologist certification/AST certification preferred.
