About

The Cardiovascular Nursing Level I Board Certification (CVRN-BC Level 1) validates the knowledge and skills of non-acute cardiovascular nurses, including the assessment, management, treatment and evaluation of cardiovascular patients. The American Board of Cardiovascular Medical Accreditation (ABCM) offers the CVRN-BC Level 1 exam.

Eligibility

To be eligible to take the CVRN-BC Level 1 exam, applicants must be an active registered nurse or nurse practitioner. Although not required, ABCM recommends applicants have at least one year of experience in the non-acute care setting such as PCU, Telemetry, PICU or Interventional Cardiology.
