The progressive cardiac unit was amazing! 3:1 ratio, good management, most of the nurses are very helpful and nice. No CNAs but the ratio makes it okay. Unit is split into 2 halves, one used to be the old ICU decades ago so 8 rooms to 1 bathroom and pts have to be ambulated to it but other than that no complaints!

 American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with experience in both Cath Lab and Angio, including scrub experience, for a Level I Trauma and teaching environment.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Position is based in an acute care hospital within a Level I Trauma and teaching facility</li><li>Work setting is the Cardiac Cath Lab and Angio department</li><li>Shift consists of four 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM</li><li>On-call required: approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks</li><li>Use of Epic EMR system</li><li>Float requirements: Travelers may be required to float within the site and across the system as needed</li><li>Scrubs are provided for this position</li><li>Primary responsibilities include performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab and Angio suite</li><li>Travelers must complete assigned education modules within one week of assignment start</li><li>Failure to float as requested may result in contract cancellation</li><li>Mandatory low census cancellation can occur for one shift per two-week pay period</li><li>No RTO allowed in the first two weeks; maximum of seven days RTO permitted</li><li>No exemptions accepted for COVID vaccination; proof required</li><li>Free parking is available in any unrestricted space</li><li>Local travelers are accepted for this position</li></ul>

Opportunity:
Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:
• Work 4x10 day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM 
• Call responsibility includes approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks 
• Minimum 1 year of experience required 
• Scrub experience required in both Cath Lab and Angio procedures 
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT-R, OBMI (Oregon state license) 
• Must be willing to float within the site and across the health system as requested 
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations 
• Perform complex cardiac interventions as first assistant to operator 
• Utilize advanced equipment including OCT, IVUS, Rotoblator, Shockwave, drug coated balloons, CTO equipment 
• Assist with insertion of impella CP, RP, 5.5, IABP, Manifold procedures 
• Handle balloon/stent prep and deployment, pericardiocentesis procedures 
• Maintain sterile field and sterile technique throughout procedures 
• Complete assigned education within one week of assignment 
• Epic charting system experience required 
• No requested time off allowed in first 2 weeks with maximum 7 days total RTO 
• Mandatory cancellation possible with 1.5 hours notice, one shift per two-week pay period

Facility:
This acute care teaching hospital operates as a Level I Trauma center with 554 staffed beds and maintains Magnet status. The facility features a brand new cath lab building with 7 procedure rooms equipped with state-of-the-art Philips Azurion systems and western-facing windows. The department includes dedicated private call rooms with showers for staff use and has dedicated EVS/turnover staff available 7 days per week including overnight coverage. The facility utilizes Epic charting system and provides free parking in unrestricted spaces.
