Local Contract Nurse RN - Acute Care

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Telemetry Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Hyannis Massachusetts.  This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN with advanced cardiac monitoring skills and a passion for delivering high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced acute care environment.

Job Function:

• Shift: 3x12 Rotating.
• Monitor cardiac activity using EKG equipment and continuously track heart performance.
• Analyze EKG results,  identify  abnormalities, and document findings accurately.
• Oversee and support cardiac stress testing procedures.
• Provide emergency interventions for cardiac events and other life‑threatening conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, medications, and follow‑up care prior to discharge.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure  optimal  patient outcomes.

Job Requirements:

• Active RN license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred; required for some units)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
• Ability to pass pharmacology and arrhythmia exams prior to start
• BSN (preferred)
• Specialty certifications/experience depending on unit (cardiac, oncology, dialysis, ortho, etc.)
