RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Tele Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work in 3West Cardiac unit on 3rd floor of main building
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients per nurse
• 30-bed unit with telemetry monitoring
• Scheduling requires equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
• Float to other medical/surgical areas including general MS, Ortho, PCU, and M/S surgical with oncology
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Advanced skills needed: Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips
• Procedures performed include chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKGs
• Use Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry and MP2 equipment
• Documentation system: Meditech-HCA version
• Medications managed through WOW with med drawers and PyxisES dispensing system
• Dress code: Navy scrubs for RN with optional jacket, may wear white, blue, grey, or black t-shirt underneath
• No artificial or gel nails or gel nail polish permitted
• Documentation requirements include telemetry application and acknowledging rhythm strips each shift
• NO PASS ZONE policy for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms
• Participate in bedside rounding and hourly rounding with 5Ps checked
• Report to PCTs regarding known patient needs at beginning and during shifts
