Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Self-scheduling used but not always guaranteed
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
• 20-bed ICU unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Navy scrubs required
• Use Cerner electronic medical record system
• Work with Phillips telemetry/monitoring equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Handle various drips including Norepinephrine, Precedex, Epinephrine, Vasopressin
• Work with Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators
• May be required to float to AG to work ICU
• One shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Care for patients with neuro trauma, cardiac surgical cases, open heart procedures, post catheterization, aortic dissection, fem pops, thoracotomies, and CRRT
• Intensivist available 24/7 on-site
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services available 24/7
• Charge nurses do not take patient assignments

The facility maintains Level 3 trauma designation and offers comprehensive acute care services. The ICU is equipped with advanced monitoring technology and ventilator support, with 24/7 intensivist coverage, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
