Opportunity:

RN - PCU Float Pool Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Required to work 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Float within 60-mile radius zone throughout multiple PCU/IMC units
• No home base facility - assignments vary by schedule
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 dependent on acuity
• Must have 2 years of PCU/IMC experience required
• Prior neuro experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Must be comfortable titrating and managing cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin
• Common titratable drips include dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio, ativan, insulin, and heparin
• Care for adult to geriatric population with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, post-surgical patients
• Float to multiple specialty units including general, cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, renal, bariatrics, ortho, trauma, ED obs
• May be asked to float to other acuity levels including ICU and MS-Tele
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, TNCC
• Any color scrubs allowed
• 1-2 days orientation with preceptor
• Epic charting system
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Rare call/standby requirements for low census
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
