RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour day shifts with start times varying between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM
• Shifts run until cases are completed for the day
• No first-time travelers accepted - must have current cardiac catheterization lab experience
• Work in 5-suite facility handling 10-22 cases per day including cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general interventional radiology, electrophysiology, and neuro intervention cases
• Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips including Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors
• Experience with balloon pumps required
• Scrubbing not required - RN focuses on conscious sedation while techs handle scrubbing and monitoring
• Basic EKG interpretation test required during orientation
• On-call rotation required approximately 1x per week and 1 weekend per month for STEMI center coverage
• Weekend call runs Friday evening through Monday morning
• No floating required
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (must be through AHA)
• Current California RN license required
• Documentation systems: Merge for cath lab, Cerner for hospital
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• BSN not required
