RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• 36-hour weekly guarantee with 3 cancellations allowed per 13-week assignment
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• PEDS experience required for this specific position
• Must be strong in neurological and cardiac nursing skills
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA preferred)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, 1:4 pediatrics (based on acuity level)
• Work on 24-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds
• Unit is heavy on telemetry monitoring
• Travelers assigned to adult patients only; pediatric patients assigned to permanent staff
• Float to all medical-surgical units and ICU for medical-surgical overflow patients
• Use Allscripts (Sunrise) electronic medical record system
• No IV team available - nurses perform all IV procedures
• Any color scrubs acceptable except all black; scrubs not provided by facility
• Support staff includes telemetry technicians, charge nurses, health unit coordinators, and patient care technicians
• 24/7 support from hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy services
